Originality Score

The Originality Score shows the percentage of your document that is considered unique. It helps you quickly understand how much of your text is original and how much matches existing sources. How It Works After scanning your document, the system compares your text against a large database of:
  • Academic publications
  • Online content
  • Journals and articles
  • Previously indexed materials
The result is displayed as a percentage. How to Interpret Your Originality Score Your originality score is a guideline — it helps you understand whether your text may need revision before submission. Acceptable similarity levels can vary depending on your school, college, university, or other educational institution. We recommend checking your institution’s academic integrity policy to understand what percentage is considered acceptable in your case. If you’re unsure, it’s best to:
  • Review your institution’s academic integrity guidelines
  • Check the specific requirements provided for your assignment
  • Ask your teacher, supervisor, or instructor for clarification
  • Revise your work to stay within the recommended similarity limits
Different institutions and educational levels may follow different standards. Always align your work with the official requirements of your educational institution to ensure compliance.
